Westminster Abbey and Roof tour for 20 people for areas not open to the public. Free entry to the Abbey then you will be taken on the Hidden Highlights Tour visiting areas of the Abbey not normally open to the public. You will see the lost medieval sacristy, recently revealed during one of our biggest ever archaeological projects, the Florence Nightingale & Nurses' chapel, the chapel remembers those in nursing professions who died during the 1939-1945 war, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, which displays many of the Abbey’s treasures and the Jerusalem Chamber, the medieval room where Henry IV died and Henry V became King.
Following this you will undertake the Roof tour, now only provided on very rare occasions so you and your guests will be treated to magnificent views rarely available. Sensible shoes required you will traverse the Abbey’s roofs will include magnificent views across London towards the Palace of Westminster, the newly revealed Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben), and the London Eye.
It will also be a chance to see the Abbey’s gothic architecture up close, and its fantastical collection of gargoyles and grotesques. Dates by mutual agreement.
