Dancing in the Rain: Acrylic on paper by Lucy Homer-Jones

Lucy Homer-Jones is an abstract painter living and working in Kent. She paints in a contemporary abstract style responding to the natural beauty of the landscape. Lucy painted Dancing in the Rain in memory of her son-in-law, Gaz Emmerson, who passed away in August 2022 from Ewing's Sarcoma.

"Very occasionally a beautiful soul touches your spirit. I was lucky enough to have Gaz Emmerson in my life for 15 years. What I loved most about him was that he always lived life to the absolute fullest. Every moment was a joy; through a long illness he found positivity and purpose. To be honest I think he packed in more to his 29 years than most people do in a lifetime. This is my tribute to how he lived his life as he always danced in the rain."
