Tea and private tour with the owner of Broughton Castle

Get behind the scenes of Broughton Castle with an exclusive tour seeing areas that are not open to the public. The owner, Martin Fiennes, will take up to 8 people around the castle and the grounds, providing his insight and answering any questions and queries you may have. You will then have afternoon tea at the castle.

Broughton Castle is a moated and fortified manor house near Banbury, It has featured in a wide range of TV and films including Shakespeare In Love, The Madness of King George, Wolf Hall, The Crown and Jane Eyre. Broughton Castle has remained in the same family since 1447. Originally built in 1306 it had a Tudor ‘makeover’ in the 1550’s and remains relatively unaltered. Lovely lime plaster ceilings and oak panelled rooms. The Castle played an important role in the English Civil War with the family being leaders of the Parliamentary opposition to Charles I.
