As an artist, transformation is central to my creative journey, and the butterfly perfectly symbolizes this. My painting, Butterfly FX, was created alongside upcycled Artist Couture garments, each adorned with butterflies, representing resilience, growth, and beauty from struggle. Just as butterflies transform, so do we, growing stronger through life’s challenges. The butterfly effect reminds us that even small actions can create ripples, influencing the world in ways we can't see. Butterfly FX is a tribute to this, encouraging you to embrace your own transformation and believe in the power of small, meaningful actions.
About the artist:
Born in Madrid and now based in London, Piluca is an artist blending creativity, activism, and resilience. Her journey began with art as a lifeline during a traumatic childhood, influenced by Spanish masters like Picasso and global figures such as Banksy. After moving to Brixton, she earned a Fine Art degree and launched a career combining art, activism, and community work. She co-founded Bee Conscious, raising awareness about honeybees, and has worked on branding projects, children's workshops, and with artists with disabilities. Her solo exhibitions and ventures into street art and fashion continue to inspire."
