Description

Enjoy a week at this hidden treasure of a cottage in Loch Seaforth, known as Crofter’s Cottage – which 100% of recent guests on Air BnB gave its location a 5-star rating! Located on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, situated in the centre of the island of Arivruiach, midway between Stornaway and Tarbert, this property boasts beautiful views from every window!

The cottage has one double-bedded room, two upstairs twin-bedrooms and a sofa bed in the dining room. There’s also a cot. The kitchen is very well equipped including an extending table which makes eating easy in the kitchen as well as in the dining room. The house is double-glazed, has electrical night storage heaters and a wood-burning stove in the sitting-room for extra cosiness! While the cottage can easily sleep 6 people, there is just one full bathroom and an additional guest toilet with basin.

Hear from those in the know who have visited recently,
“Peaceful location with beautiful views of the loch, we saw seals and deer from the kitchen window.”
“Spectacular setting on the breathtakingly beautiful Isle of Lewis. While the temptation was there to stare out the window all day and watch the light change over the surrounding hills, it’s a perfect centrally located house to explore all of the many wonderful features of Lewis & Harris.”
“The environment is extraordinary for its beauty and calm.”
“The pictures really don't do the place justice – it’s in a gorgeous location and we kept being struck by the views!”

It’s conveniently located between Stornoway and Tarbert, which means it’s not too far to travel by car in any direction to see the sights. The nearest shop is 11 miles away. Stornaway (15 miles) is a small thriving town with supermarkets, a swimming pool, library and golf course. It also has an airport and flights to and from Edinburgh and Glasgow are regular.

Highlights to sample are lunch at The Boathouse, stay long enough and you can walk next door for dinner at the HS1 Café in Stornoway! Temple Harris is a must for coffee & cake, walk the sands on Luskentyre beach, Huishinis and the headland walk, and make sure to fit in a trip to Uist if you have time.

The resident deer and Eagles make this cottage a very special place to stay. With a path directly from the garden down to the loch, what more could you wish for. This cottage is in an absolutely stunning setting, it’s peaceful, private and we can’t believe you’re still reading this……… place your bids now before this item gets snapped up by another bidder who only needed to read “A small house "at the end of the world"…….!
