My Name's Doddie Foundation. We're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND
We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease. The Foundation is committed to helping improve the lives of those affected by Motor Neuron Disease. We help to fund grants, giving considerable sums to our friends at MND Association and MND Scotland to administer to individuals and families living with MND.
Restart is the official charity of the RPA and we are dedicated to supporting elite men's and women's rugby players suffering from serious injury, illness or hardship. We provide financial and practical support to players and their families during difficult times, including help with the cost of medical treatment, rehabilitation equipment and disability support. We’re also there when players need emotional support to help with mental health issues, by providing a 24/7 Confidential Counselling Service. We receive no government or lottery funding so the work we do is funded entirely through voluntary donations and fundraising activity. We completely rely on the support of businesses, rugby supporters, fundraisers, generous donors and the players themselves to raise funds each year for those in need.
The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation was launched in March 2020. In short we believe that Rugby Union, as an active team sport with very meaningful Values which can be played by people of all ages and all shapes and sizes, has the potential to bring physical and mental benefits to all participants and also wider societal benefits. We are a standalone charity and all funds raised by the Foundation are ring fenced for use by the Foundation, consistent with our Vision. Our Vision: To improve access to Rugby Union in Fylde, Blackpool and Wyre by offering community pathways for participation and appreciation of the sport, regardless of age, sex, religion or background built around rugby’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
Sale Sharks Foundation is the charity partner of Sale Sharks, delivering programmes across health, education, inclusion, and grassroots rugby. Our mission is to promote physical and mental wellbeing in children and adults across the North West using the power of sport. Established in 2010, Sale Sharks Foundation has spent the last decade changing over 75,000 lives in communities across our region. We are committed to introducing rugby to people of all ages and abilities, teaching vital life skills, tackling inequality and ultimately growing the Sharks Family. The Foundation is proud to offer a broad and diverse range of programmes from wheelchair rugby and veterans’ groups to rugby camps and classroom sessions for 16-18 who are outside of mainstream education.
