Stag’s Leap SLV Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 – Case of Six
Description
Stored in Berry Bros. & Rudd until 3 weeks ago and since then has been stored in an air conditioned cellar in Highgate.
One of Napa Valley’s most iconic estates, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars has been at the heart of California winemaking for generations. Vines were first planted on this historic 240-acre estate in 1893, and the modern winery was established in 1971. Known worldwide for its role in putting Napa on the global stage, Stag’s Leap produces some of the region’s most sought-after Cabernets, including the legendary SLV.
This lot offers a case of six bottles from the outstanding 2013 vintage. The wine displays a beautifully layered palate of blackberry, deep plum, and blackcurrant, interwoven with delicate notes of mocha, espresso, graphite, and black pepper spice. The mouthfeel is rich and powerful, with velvety tannins, impressive structure, and a long, lingering finish.
Drinks superbly now but demonstrates the opulence and intrigue of the estate, that will allow this Cabernet to age for many years to come.
