Founded in 1948 by Francis Usseglio, the domaine has become one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most respected estates. The excellent terroirs, old vines, and generations of savoir-faire have resulted in wines of the highest quality.

The 2016 “Mon Aïeul” is drawn exclusively from Grenache planted in the famed lieux-dits of La Guigasse, Le Crau, and Les Serres. Whole-cluster vinification adds lift and complexity, while the vintage itself is considered one of the greatest in modern Rhône history.

In the glass, it opens with vibrant aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, and red currant, interwoven with floral tones, dried herbs, and subtle tea leaves. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, yet remarkably balanced, offering layers of ripe fruit, licorice, spice cake, and mineral notes that build toward a long, precise finish.
