OUR MISSION

We have a single minded focus on finding a cure for Parkinson’s, by looking for ways to slow, stop or reverse the condition.  

Cure Parkinson’s was founded in 2005 by four people living with Parkinson’s. At the time nobody thought a cure for Parkinson’s could ever be a reality, but our founders refused to accept this. We are still driven by their determination, exploring every avenue of research, and now it really is just a question of when, not if, we will find a cure.  

Since then we have revolutionised the way the research community looks for potential treatments, by setting up a programme that brings together the world’s leading experts once a year, to prioritise new treatments to be tested for use in Parkinson’s. This ensures more drugs can be brought to clinical trial for Parkinson’s, faster. 

Cure Parkinson’s is the only organisation in the UK solely dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s. We believe that we are closer than ever to a cure and are acting with urgency to make this a reality for the 166,000 people in the UK and 11.8 million people worldwide living with Parkinson’s.
