Since 1971, and for over 50 years, Mac (Stanley McMurtry) has produced regular cartoons for the Daily Mail and its sister paper, the Mail on Sunday. Mac sees his work as apolitical, its function to raise a smile amidst the dreary news.
Mac was awarded an MBE in the 2004 New Year Honours for "services to the newspaper industry".
