International cricketer Jack Russell MBE has been a professional artist for over 30 years. Self-taught, he decided to become a painter as a result of frustration at being stuck inside cricket pavilions when rain stopped play.
Famed for his eccentricities and floppy white sun hat, wicket-keeper Jack made his England debut in 1987, playing in 94 international matches before retiring from the national team in 1998.
Jack has kindly donated one of his beautiful, delicate prints portraying the crowd at Sussex CC’s ground in Hove. Note, this is a 26cm x 21cm print, not a design on an envelope.
