Anne Rothenstein is a self-taught artist who lives and works in London. Following a foundation course at Camberwell School of Art in the mid-1960s, Anne worked as an actress for over a decade before gradually returning to painting. 

Anne’s recent solo exhibitions include Charleston, Sussex (2024) and Stephen Friedman Gallery, New York (2024). Her work was included in the Summer Exhibitions at The Royal Academy of Arts, London in 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023. She is an RWA Academician and has been designing covers for The London Review of Books since 2012.
