'Mara Wanderer' by Lesley Swann - limited edition photographic print
Description
Capture the essence of the wild with this dramatic fine art print titled ‘Mara Wanderer’ donated by acclaimed photographer Lesley Swann.
Lesley Swann grew up in Cheshire with a fascination with wildlife and a love of photography. She gained an honours degree in Applied Biology in 1986 and worked as a professional ecologist and entomologist for twenty years before changing career to become a successful professional photographer. She considered herself extremely fortunate to be able to pursue both of her passions of biology and photography by combining them in the world of wildlife photography. She travelled the world in search of stunning wildlife subjects to photograph which she then artistically transformed into beautiful, collectable, fine art photographic prints.
Now retired, and a grandparent, Lesley and her husband Jeremy split their time living between the South Downs National Park near Chichester and Bel Ombre in Mauritius. They are both committed supporters of wildlife conservation charities. Lesley now only sells or donates her limited edition prints to raise funds for wildlife charities, to help raise awareness of endangered species.
Lesley was delighted to be awarded Natural World Photographer of the Year in 2013 by ‘The Societies’, the body representing professional photographers internationally. The same organisation awarded her a fellowship qualification for her wildlife photography in 2015, a prestigious qualification given to the top 1% of photographers.
