The British Dyslexia Association believes everyone with dyslexia should feel seen, heard and accepted for who they are. A society that embraces and promotes neurodiversity is a kinder, more creative and empowered world.
Our vision is a world that embraces and promotes people living with dyslexia. Our mission is to change society by breaking through barriers and enabling everyone with dyslexia to be acknowledged, accepted and empowered
The BDA drives change through three areas of work:
• Raising awareness: We want to educate people to make changes in education and the workplace. We will work alongside establishments and help them work differently.
• Promoting understanding: We’re campaigning for change, influencing government policy and promoting resources. We are at the table where far-reaching change can be made, and we will continue to be there.
• Empowering people: As the leading national dyslexia charity, we speak out on behalf of dyslexics to change society for the better.
We are proud of the last 50 years, but we are driven and excited by the potential of the next 50. As a supporter of the BDA, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and we hope that, alongside us, you will reaffirm your commitment to helping us break through barriers and enable everyone with dyslexia to be acknowledged, accepted and empowered.
