Description

This is a fabulous experience for a group of friends to have a bespoke, hands-on lesson in meat and traditional butchery skills from local expert Jon from The Pointer Butchers in Brill followed by drinks and dinner next door at The Pointer.

The evening will commence with Jon at his award-winning butchery shop adjacent to The Pointer. Jon will talk about the meat and produce he sources locally (Ludgershall lamb, Potash poultry from Tring, Cacklebean Cotswold eggs, bread from the Cornfield Bakery in Long Crendon and more) and how to get the most out of your meat – prime roasts, slow cook cuts and meat for BBQ / grilling. Jon will guide guests through filleting a joint so you get to your hand at light butchery, whilst talking about recipe ideas over a glass of wine (or two!).

Following the course, step next door to enjoy a sumptuous meal with wine at The Pointer. Working with fresh, local and seasonal produce, the menu offers an elevated country pub experience. Meat cut with Jon the Butcher will be packaged and ready for each guest to take home at the end of the night.

Local brews are also served including XT beer and their very own Brill gin.
